Why is this candidate a good fit for 40 under 40?

Allison Reichenbach is the president of Interlace Health (the next generation of FormFast), a 30-year-old privately held healthcare IT firm. Since joining the company in 2012, Allison has served in various roles at Interlace Health including director of special projects, vice president of administration, and most recently, chief operating officer. She leads all organizational activity including sales, marketing, engineering, client services, and administration with a focus on creating an organizational structure that best supports Interlace Health’s team to accomplish their goals and to meet the goals of the company’s 1500+ customers. Allison began her career as a junior associate at a law firm. She quickly realized that she needed a more collaborative environment to thrive professionally, and she began to consider other ways to utilize her law degree. After exploring her career options, she was offered the opportunity to join Interlace Health–the family business founded by her father. She never planned to work at the family business or in healthcare IT, but she decided to join the company temporarily in 2012 to help improve processes. She thrived at the company, and she hasn’t looked back since.  Allison joined Interlace Health with limited healthcare experience, but a drive and passion to focus on the people, which led to better employee retention, more qualified applicants, and a desirable company culture–one where employees care about the company, their peers, and helping customers. For the past 11 years, Allison has built a strong foundation at Interlace Health by focusing on company culture, organizational development, and ensuring that the right employees are in the right positions. Under her leadership, Interlace Health has doubled its number of female executives, the company has donated more than $565,000 to charitable organizations, and the company currently has a customer retention rate of 97.4%. Allison is also deeply involved in the community and is past board chair of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Nashville Chapter. Under her leadership, the Interlace Team created a virtual bike ride, Cycle for Life, that has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In 2014, she was named as one of Nashville’s 30 Under 30 for her personal fundraising efforts for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She continues to serve on the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Nashville Chapter as a board member. She is a member of the Nashville Healthcare Council, a member of Leadership Health Care, a member of Junior League of Nashville, and a member of Chief.

Explain this candidate’s professional accomplishments:

For the past 11 years, Allison has served in various roles at Interlace Health, and her employee-first approach to leadership hasn’t changed over the years. Since she joined the company, she has been tirelessly dedicated to building a strong company culture which in turn, has led to happy and successful customers. This shows as the company currently has a customer retention rate of 97.4%.  In 2020, Allison was promoted to lead Interlace Health as president. Although the company has provided workflow solutions to healthcare customers since its founding in 1992, the healthcare industry, patient expectations, and staff needs have greatly evolved over the years. The company wasn’t simply cutting costs in terms of paper elimination, they were addressing more strategic problems such as staffing and budget constraints. Under Allison’s leadership in 2020, the company rebranded and changed its name from FormFast to Interlace Health. The name change reflects the company’s advances in new technology and new leadership as the “Next Generation” of the company.  After rebranding the company, Allison and the Interlace Health team are currently moving their solutions to a newly built cloud-based platform, Nova, the next generation of the company’s technology. The first solution built on the new platform is Informed Consent Nova. Informed Consent Nova improves the workflow for patients, nurses, and physicians to gain consent in a compliant manner to create less work for nurses and provide a more efficient experience for patients and staff to sign consents.

How does the candidate show commitment to the industry and bettering their professional career?

Allison shows commitment to the healthcare industry and bettering her professional career by first focusing on the culture of the company, which leads to a highly dedicated, engaged team that provides seamless data capture and information exchange for 1500+ healthcare customers. By providing a supportive, collaborative environment for employees, Allison empowers employees to provide best-in-class customer service.  Interlace health enables seamless data capture and information exchange among providers, staff, and patients, solving many of healthcare’s central challenges through process transformation. The result for Interlace Health customers is reduced costs, uplifted patient experiences, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced support of an organization’s integration strategy.   Each year, Interlace Health provides 100 million electronic forms for healthcare customers that save patients, nurses, and staff from manually filling in these forms. A conservative estimate is that Interlace Health saves their customers one million nursing hours a year, allowing nurses to work at the top of their license and spend more time providing quality care for patients.
