AHIMA Promotes Executives to Senior Posts

On Feb. 6, the Chicago-based American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) announced that it had appointed Deborah Green as executive vice president, operations and chief operating officer, and had promoted Denise Froemming to the role of executive vice president and chief financial officer.

On Feb. 6, the Chicago-based American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) announced that it had appointed Deborah Green as executive vice president, operations and chief operating officer, and had promoted Denise Froemming to the role of executive vice president and chief financial officer.

“Since joining AHIMA in June, Deborah’s knowledge and vision have proven invaluable in helping AHIMA provide support to members and the HIM [health information management] industry," AHIMA CEO Lynne Thomas Gordon said in a statement. “Denise has served has an expert financial steward and her AHIMA responsibilities are being broadened to apply her same outstanding management skills to other areas of our association.” With more than 20 years of HIM experience, Green joined AHIMA from LaVie Care, where she served as CIO for 10 years. Froemming joined AHIMA in 2011 after serving in a variety of senior positions at the College of American Pathologists.
