M*Modal announced enhancements to its Fluency Direct front-end speech software today at HIMSS 15.

M*Modal today announced specialized enhancements to Fluency Direct front-end speech software--part of its clinical documentation and Speech Understanding™ solutions.  Those enhancements to the cloud-based software include changes to platform integration, speech understanding and software management--and were designed with physicians and clinical workflow in mind.

"As hospitals continue to look for ways to improve productivity and get the most out of their EHR investment, M*Modal's Fluency Direct can play a huge role in increasing system adoption and physician satisfaction," said Scott MacKenzie, CEO of M*Modal. "With these new features, Fluency Direct offers a cost-effective, easy to use platform for creating high-quality patient records."

Fluency Direct allows healthcare providers to verbally create and edit patient narratives directly into electronic health record (EHR) templates.  This highly accurate speech recognition tool is interoperable with over 80 leading EHR systems--and has been recognized by KLAS as a top front-end speech recognition program.  And with these new changes, Fluency Direct can offer healthcare organizations new command capabilities to handle complex and variable tasks, improved efficiency, and embedded computer assisted physician documentation (CAPD) complete with real-time messaging and alerts.
