Bon Secours’ Accrete Health Partners Buys Nordic Consulting
Accrete Health Partners, a recently launched holding company of the Bon Secours Mercy Health system, has acquired health IT consulting firm Nordic Consulting Partners from SV Health Investors.
Headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, not far from Epic's headquarters, Nordic is a health and technology consulting company. Its 1,900 employees support more than 600 clients worldwide.
SV led a majority recapitalization of Nordic in October 2012, along with Health Enterprise Partners, HLM Venture Partners, and Kaiser Permanente Ventures. In 2016, Silversmith Capital Partners led a minority recapitalization in which SV, HEP, HLM and KP Ventures remained Nordic shareholders.
Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health is one of the 20 largest health systems in the United States and the fifth-largest Catholic health system in the country. In May 2022 it launched Accrete as a digital holding company to expand, align and synergize the organization’s digital health services, investments and partnerships. The organization is led by Jason Szczuka, Bon Secours’ chief digital officer.
In the past year, Nordic has been named the Best in KLAS Overall IT Services Firm, and acquired two firms: S&P Consultants and Bails. Now with more than 1,900 people across the globe, Nordic Global Companies, which also includes Healthtech, says it has expertise in the major EHR and ERP systems on which the healthcare industry relies – including Epic, Cerner, Meditech, and Infor.
“This deal will help us bring our clients innovative solutions at a faster pace and grow our world-class team, so we can better serve them as they navigate the increasingly complex healthcare industry. We’ve seen incredible momentum in 2021, and we’re excited about continuing that growth as part of Accrete’s portfolio,” said Jim Costanzo, CEO at Nordic Consulting, in a statement.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
