Healthcare Informatics is now accepting submissions for the annual Innovator Awards Program, rewarding the healthcare leadership teams that have employed IT to make a difference in their organizations.

The 2015 Healthcare Informatics Innovator Awards Program is a staple of the publication. For nearly the past decade, editors have honored those at the forefront of healthcare IT innovation with its Innovator Awards signature issue. In the face of a daunting array of policy, reimbursement, operational, staffing, and other challenges, leaders at pioneering healthcare organizations nationwide are moving forward boldly to create the healthcare of the future, strategically leveraging information technology to improve care quality, patient safety, efficiency, and data exchange.

The three winners of the program will be honored at HIMSS15, the industry event from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), taking place in Chicago. The first-place organization’s leaders will be featured in the Healthcare Informatics March/April 2015 issue, including photos on the cover page of print and digital issues. The second and third place teams will also be featured in the issue, while finalists will be featured online.

For the contest, HCI is looking for leadership teams from patient care organizations—hospitals, medical groups, integrated health systems, and other healthcare organizations that have deployed IT in order to improve clinical, administrative, financial, or organizational performance. No vendor submissions will be accepted.

Submissions are due on Dec. 15, 2014. Answer the call and don’t wait…nominate your team now!
