From Potential to Power: Unleashing Interoperability to Turn Data Potential into Data Power
Considerable time has passed since Meaningful Use; a mandate intended for the seamless transition of electronic medical record (EMR) data for optimal patient care and data analytics insights. Despite nearly twenty years, semantic interoperability has not been achieved.
This presentation will initially focus on the evolution of the regulatory landscape starting with Meaningful Use and progressing to interoperability legislation of today including 21st Century Cures Act. As part of the regulatory exploration, it will discuss existent standards and explore why these standards have not solved the challenges of clinical semantic interoperability. While clinical data is packed with immense potential, harnessing its volume, velocity, and variety are tantamount to unleashing that potential.
This webinar will use case-based discussions to show how a strategy for modernization of the current inbound data flow and its marriage with upcycled clinical data offers value for payers, providers, patients and public health. The speakers will discuss the complimentary nature of a relationship between Diameter Health and Infor and how it can yield a mature data acquisition strategy coupled with the ability to assess inbound data quality and improve it to unleash the greatest potential from the data for measurable outcomes in risk adjustment, clinical decision support, patient access and automation of legacy disease surveillance systems.
