Loopback Analytics Launches Publicly Available Dashboard Visualizing CMS Five-Star Quality System Data
Loopback Analytics, a Dallas-based data integration and analytics solution vendor, has launched an interactive analytics tool that enables hospitals to visually assess the quality of post-acute providers in their geographic region.
The geographic analysis dashboard is free and open the public, according to an announcement from Loopback Analytics. The dashboard leverages data sourced from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) five-star quality system and offers ranking criteria, color-coded quality indicators and an interactive map.
Many providers leverage the CMS Five-Star ratings system as an initial step to better understand the potential post-acute care options in their market. The dashboard tool leverages the CMS Five-Star dataset and enables providers to view post-acuate facilities on a map based on CMS rankings for care quality. The dashboad features two different datasets, Skilled Nursing and Home Health.
The visualization tool enables care coordinators and post-acute network managers to get an initial, high-level view of network quality and provides insight into partners across the care continuum, according to Loopback Analytics.
The company is making the dashboard available to the public to facilitate improvement and enhance performance across the country, according to the company.
“While very valuable, the star rating system was not built to serve as the full picture of a given organization’s performance. With our tool serving as an initial jumping off point, advanced data analytics fills in the rest of the story as groups consider key quality metrics such as readmission rates, length of stay and cost factors,” Neil Smiley, CEO with Loopback, said in a statement.
