Medical-grade LCD Display

Nov. 1, 2007
The 21-inch LMD-2140MD LCD monitor from Sony is configured principally for video endoscopy applications and meets healthcare safety and EMC standards and requirements. The monitor incorporates a high-clarity, a-Si TFT Active Matrix LCD panel that provides 450 cd/m2 brightness, 30ms response time, and 16.7 million colors. The display features 1024×768 resolution, and a 400:1 contrast ratio in 4:3 aspect ratio format. A multi-layer AR-coated protection film minimizes damage from scratches to the panel and also reduces reflection of ambient light. An interlaced/progressive conversion technology using Sony’s x-Algorithm technology combines pixels above, below, and in the diagonal direction of moving images for smoother reproduction for both moving and static areas of the displayed image. A user memory feature allows up to 20 patterns of memory settings to be saved, including color temperature, brightness, gamma, and aperture.Sony Corp. of America, New York.
